② I'd like a friendship that might lead to something deeper, but I wouldn't want to commit myself too soon.

既然可以用主动用法：commit oneself to

那改成被动也可以：sb. be committed to sth.

原文例句：

Those who still defend being a perfectionist seem to mean something like 'being committed to constant improvement'.

致力于的其他表达方法：

dedicate 的用法和 commit 基本一致

比如 sb. has dedicated themselves to...

所以也可以用被动来表现致力于：He was dedicated to...

devote 和前两个词略有区别，主要在于 devote 除了可以 devote oneself，还可以 devote one's time/energy to sth.
