雅思口语Part 1 题目 Garbage/ Rubbish

首先先来看看雅思的标题，雅思作为英国的考试，怎么可能会有一个Topic名字叫“Garbage”！这也太不专业了！Garbage是美式说法；Rubbish才是英式的！！

为此当你面对英国考官的时候，注意你的单词！

其实这个Topic里还是有一些比较Tricky的问题。

比如：“How do you feel when seeing people throwing rubbish on the street?”

“Why do some people like to throw rubbish on the street?”

这两道题不是不能答，只是你会发现自己能给出的观点好像非常具有局限性，那么就让小编先给你们补充一些观点吧！

Why Do People Litter (vt. 乱丢; n. 垃圾)?

1. 缺乏责任感

People litter because they do not feel responsible for public areas like   streets and parks. The more they litter, the more it becomes a habit, and the worse the community looks.

2. 丢在别人的地盘就事不关己

People usually litter outside their own neighborhood where their trash becomes someone else's problem.

3. 别人会帮着捡垃圾

People litter because they are lazy and ignorant. They believe someone else -- a maintenance worker (维修工)or responsible neighbor -- will pick up after them.

4.教育的缺乏

Ultimately it comes down to education or lack of education in this case.

5. 街道上本身很脏，无所谓多一件垃圾    

Once litter starts to pile up, people feel even less responsible for adding to the litter. If an area is clean, people are less likely to litter.

新航道小编相信针对于这道题很多同学的反应都会是第三点和第四点，但其实第五点很具有现实性的意义。的确当你发现地上有垃圾的时候，你也就随手一扔了。

“How do you feel when seeing people throwing rubbish on the street?”

那么当你看到有人随手扔垃圾的时候，你会有什么感受呢？

新航道小编从网上找了一些网友的观点，说实话有一些我自己都没有想到，很值得我们学习借鉴一下。

1. It really pisses me off (气死我了). I instantly lose most of my respect for them because it shows they are ignorant(无知). I've rejected a guy because I saw him litter.

PS：“Piss me off”是俚语,口语中常用,不过注意piss是尿尿的意思,所以有一点粗俗,跟不熟的人还是不要乱用,用来吵架或者熟人之间玩笑就无所谓。或者你也可以用“Itdrives me insane”来替代，表示“这简直让我疯掉”。

 2. It pisses me off that people are so simple minded, they don't realize they are slowly destroying our planet because of their laziness and disrespect. I refuse to date a person who lacks empathy (同情) for mother nature.

在这个观点中提到了“destorying our planet”,我觉得这很值得我们思考，的确乱扔垃圾给自然带来了太多的负担。

3. I am not going to care, if I see something like banana peels(香蕉皮) or apple cores (苹果核) on the side of the road,  because they are naturally suppose todecompose(可分解& 腐烂). But it drives me insane, if they throw the plastic, papers, food containers everywhere.

这个回答中，他将垃圾做了一个分类：可降解& 不可降解。为此对于可降解的就随意了，但是不可降解就会让他很生气。

4. I hate it. Especially when smokers just treat the beaches like their own personal ash trays (烟灰缸). Cigarette butts (烟头) are everywhere.

这个观点我觉得很赞，提到了沙滩上的烟头。虽然beach不是street, 稍微修改一下大致意思是一样的。毕竟很多人也都是把马路当成自己的烟灰缸，到处乱扔。

5. I don't put much thought into it. I come from a place where people burn their rubbish, and pour their sewage ([‘suːɪdʒ] 污水)into streams and Ihave.already been accustomed to (习惯) seeing people litter everywhere.

说实话，这个观点全场。很多时候我们对一个事物的看法源于周围人的举动，当你习以为常以后就会发现这很正常，为此不扔垃圾才会让你觉得奇怪。想一想你回老家的时候，有没有家人跟你说过“垃圾直接扔地上就可以了”。这个观点非常真实的还原了一部分人的本质想法。
