摘要:对于托福独立口语 Task 1的准备来说,除了要练习并提升表述的清晰度,流利度,减少语法及用词错误等一些基本能力外,内容的展开也是比较需要花时间总结和准备的环节。
对于托福独立口语 Task 1的准备来说,除了要练习并提升表述的清晰度,流利度,减少语法及用词错误等一些基本能力外,内容的展开也是比较需要花时间总结和准备的环节。
很多同学基本表述能力没问题,平时说的也比较自然,但考试遇到了话题,由于内容展开上没有思路逻辑,导致了很多的卡顿和表述不连贯的情况,没有发挥出应有的表述能力。
应对方法
那么备考中对于各类话题的基本思路的准备和熟练,就显得尤为重要了。按照不同的话题方向,有针对性地去准备并总结,带着思路去处理考场上的话题,根据话题的要点和关键词对自己相对熟练的语料做些许调整,就会减少很大的压力及紧张感,从而可以更从容的处理话题,发挥出原本的表述能力。
平时的备考不但要把话题按各大方面的划分,(比如校园类,工作类,生活类等。)也尽量可以把它们进行细分,比如常出的校园类,还可以细划为:学习方法,校园设施,学校规则等。对不同的细类进行常用理由及展开思路的总结,在准备初期可以写逐字稿,并把它们进行熟练,形成自己的语料。
就近几年的独立话题涉及内容来看,校园类话题是占比比较高的一类话题。有意思的是,口语综合Task 2涉及的就是campus events类内容,所以有时我们会很神奇的发现,个别独立话题问的方向,在做过的Task 2里也有提到,虽然这不属于普遍情况,但我们也许可以从个别综合材料里借鉴一些处理话题的思路。
举例说明
比如这个话题:
Your university is planning to allow people in the community to take courses with students. This course will be free for them and they will not receive feedback or grades about their papers. Do you think this is a good program and why?
我们再来看TPO 35 Task 2 : University Should Allow Students to Audit Classes
虽然内容略有不同,但听力材料中给了一个思路:
Because anyone who is taking the class for a grade, for credit, puts in a lot of time preparing for it, doing the reading and assignments; whereas people who aren’t, they might not be as well prepared. And that would have affected the quality of class discussion. Because people who aren't taking the class for a grade would be asking really basic questions. They’ll be slowing down the class discussion by taking time to discuss basic stuff that is already covered in reading assignments.
再比如近几年出的比较多的一个相似话题:
Do you prefer an experienced professor or a new professor?
再来看下TPO 42 Task 2: No more evening classes
同样是内容不完全一致,但听力中的main speaker的思路也许也可以应用:
I mean, what does experience mean anyway? Sometimes it means you have been teaching the same subject for twenty years and you are probably tired of it by now and maybe not very enthusiastic. Whereas if it's the first time or maybe second you are teaching a class, well, it's going to be more exciting to you. And you are going to communicate that excitement to the people you are teaching.
当然,以上这样的关联情况会有一些,虽并不是一个普遍的现象,也许也只是针对个别相关话题,但这也不失为我们在梳理校园类独立话题过程中的一个小Tip,让思路有了一些方向,可以在平时练习综合Task 2过程中多加留意。
