将两种方式对比，读书，尤其是阅读自己喜欢的书籍，能够更好将所接收到的几乎完全抽象的文字信息在思维中转化成具象化信息，这个转化的过程没有任何具象化信息的限制，每个人都是根据自己的思维理解将其转化成自己所认为的模样。想象力的本质其实就是在于对于抽象化的逻辑内容进行头脑中具象化。相比之下电视的内容是对于传达信息值观的图像表述，人们头脑中对于电视的画面信息直观进行具象化的接受，思维的扩展性会由于太具体的视觉信息而受到限制，很难再去展开更丰富的想象。所以我们可以认为，兴趣阅读是比看电视更能够培养我们的想象力的。

This question reminds me of a famous quote from Einstein: “Imagination is more important than knowledge（想象力比知识更重要）.” Although knowledge seems to be essential in figuring out the truth of universe or nature, I do believe that knowledge without imagination is barren since without imagination（没有想象力的知识是贫瘠的）, the scientist may fail to understand the beauty of nature nor to explore how the laws of physics could be more fantastic.
