Describe a time when you waited for something special that would happen
You should say:
What you waited for
When you waited
Why it was special
And explain how you felt while you were waiting
第 一小问“What you waited for” 你在等待什么事情
第四小问“explain how you felt while you were waiting” 你等待的时候是什么心情
Waiting for someone is an everyday situation in our daily lives. There was a time when i had to wait for my friends. It was very special.
It was my birthday and i had invited a group of friends to a bar to celebrate, we had an appointment there at 8 pm. I was so worried i got there too early, certainly none of them were there. However, i waited for half an hour but no one showed up and then i started feeling uncomfortable and worried. Gradually i lost my patience and started calling each of them, asking why they hadn’t turned up yet.
None of them picked up the phone and they all stood me up . I was really pissed off as you can imagine because it was my birthday and my friends treated me that way. I waited a few minutes before i couldn’t take it anymore and decided to leave.
As soon as i called the waiter to pay the bill, i heard the song “happy birthday” in the bar. Suddenly all my friends appeared out of nowhere with a birthday cake, and they hugged me and wished me a happy birthday. It was a surprise and my anger quickly gave way to laughter and we spent an unforgettable night chatting until midnight, drinking beers and of course eating the cake.
lost my patience 失去耐心
had an appointment 约定
stand me up 所有人都放我鸽子
pissed off 很生气
pay the bill 结账
